HYUNDAI is once again recalling coupe's for a faulty brake light switch. It only affects certain models, the letter is genuine it is a known recall.

Members should take their cars to dealers HOWEVER please test your cruise control immediately after. Lots of members cars have inoperative cruise after the change.

THE DEALER MUST ENSURE IT IS WORKING. IF IT DOESNT TAKE IT BACK IMMEDIATELY !!!! DO NOT BE FOBBED OFF REPORT TO US AND I WILL CONTACT HYUNDAI IF DEALERS TRY AND SAY IT WAS ALREADY BROKEN

Previous one was anything Gen 3 onwards if I remember.
I called my local dealer who checked it for me based on reg number, they sorted it about 2 months before the letter from Hyundai turned up that way :)

Got my letter yesterday too, but I've got a receipt from where the previous owner had it done, but not at a Hyundai dealer or specialist in 2011. And paid for it too which is odd.
I knew about the recall previously and I assumed it'd been done but now I'm not sure.
Is it something that you'd notice if it hadn't been recalled?

I take it you can just call a dealer and give them your reg. no and check if there are any recalls relevant to your vehicle outstanding.

That was for the last recall on them about 2 years ago, imagine you can still call.
