Looking for insurance for my SIII

#1

Post by stormrider »

Hello room

I am looking for a new insurance for my 2009 SIII. Coming from Greece, have a long history there with no accidents, and drive my SIII in the UK from September. I am with Elephant and the contract expires on September.

Elephant never accepted my driving history from Greece.
I am 34 and I drive since 18 with no accidents.

Anyone can suggests a good insurance to start after September ?

Kind regards
Stormrider

Personally I would to the comparison Website hunt for insurance, Go Compare, Compare the Market etc. Then phone the top handfull of companies with the cheapest quotes directly to ensure they accept a no claims discount built up in another country as many do.

It's normally OK when you're coming from, dare I say it, English-speaking countries. With Greece it'll be down to whether the individual insurer considers there's parity.

I've been to Greece many a time and would imagine that anyone that is used to driving there is likely to be considered something of a high risk on UK roads! ;-)

@NJNewton, this is something to discuss. To me UK drivers are very danger drivers in general.
But that does not apply to everyone.

Anyway this post is for insurance quote and not driving abilities.

Cheers

Hey buddy,

Nothing to take personally. No worries. I generally believe that sport driving is not for everyone. Because you have a driving license doesn't mean that you can drive :P

It's all good
