Phone your local dealer, they will have access to the national record to see what recalls have been carried out on your car and what ones are outstanding

Worth mentioning you are part of an owners club and ask if they mind you recommending them on the forum.
Did this with mine when I went and they have been nothing but helpful ever since, did a free all over check of the coupe, valet after saying I was a rep when I was in for the recall, even offered me a courtesy car (declined as I live 5 min walk away) and let me look up parts on their system when ever I go in to find something rather than having to ask for something and getting told it's only part of a pack etc.
Got my air filter, a few odds and sods form them over the last year without the usual "oh we can't get that unless we fit it" bollocks.

May not get you anything but no harm trying and if they do a good job then they will obviously get good feedback and more custom.

Going by the official service schedule its 60k/6yr on the SIII but we had a long chat about it on here a year back and decided we were going with the original 50k/5yr. Figure they upped it to 60k just top make the SIII more appealing when on the forecourt. It's the same engine as the older cars afterall so why would it suddenly last longer :icon-lol:

Well that's just what you need since you have a brake issue
My last Coupe came from there, didn't see the place myself but the owners book had lots from stamps from them

I called them myself and had the work done, got a letter about 2 months later.
Don't bank on no letter = all ok.
Phone call costs next to nothing and the work is free. Takes about an hour in the garage.

Just had mine changed at 60k service .Apparently after 08/58 plate, Hyundai fitted a "Longlife" timing belt which increased the need to change from 50k to 60k (according to the dealership I use)

Aye, we heard that one too. Then shouted bollocks from the rooftops :icon-lol: , the belts look the same.

Either way will probably be changed to due age rather than mileage for a lot of folks.

Yeah mine is a 58 plate with 37k on the clock so you are correct it goes by age.
