Horrible Rough Idle

#1

Post by Hotblackcoupe »

Well it's back again...rapidly losing interest in this car, it obviously needs something (don't think it's quite ready for the scrap yard). Maybe I now need to look for a new horrible new box or bubble 'car' and sorn the coupe until it can run properly and my son can have it when he passes his driving test.

How exactly is it rough?

Have you checked your idle control valve? It might be clogged up. A clean out with some carb cleaner may help.
Please thank the folks who help. :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yes it was dirty and ceased and my mechanic cleaned it. I'm literally going to give it one final shot and replace the idle or air valve, if that doesn't work then the cars history, life's too short
