Airbrushing

#1

Post by bex » Sat Feb 15, 2014 7:36 pm

Hi everyone! I'm bex.... I am just setting up a business airbrushing. As I work full time as a spray painter and being an artist I thought I would combine the two and try airbrushing!!! And I love it, I can't wait to make it my full-time career! So have been putting together a portfolio for about 6 months now and I have a few portfolio pieces... As anyone who's had commissioned custom art it can be very expensive you pay for vision not parts.! As I am starting up I will be working at a lot cheaper than most so I can build up a reputation, name and portfolio.I work out of a friends bodyshop garage and I get them to prep and clearcoat my work so that's where most the cost is as I have to pay them to do this for me - but it also means you have top quality base and topcoat in your work which is good news for you.. I am willing to design and paint anything on any part of the car.... Car related parts that are popular requests at the moment are -rocker covers, underside of bonets and petrol flaps... But I will paint any part of the cars - I can paint plastic, metal, fiberglass, anything!!! I do all my own design work too... So if interested in any airbrush artwork please message me, reply to my post, add me on Facebook - bexairbrushing to view my work or email me [email protected] with any enquiries..... Thanks for reading... Bex!

Good luck Becca.
I have a future family member trying to do the same but as a tattoo artist.
Hope it all works out for you :handgestures-thumbupleft:

Yep I tried one of those pages for my portrait art but I didn't get many people noticing it, with the profile I am getting loads more adds than with the page - I may try a page again (I have that many profiles an pages it gets confusing.) suppose it won't hurt - can never have too many ways to showcase artwork.

Getting popular now.. Hehehe... Very exciting only problem is u wanna spray an airbrush my bonnet but I can't get the time as people keep turning up with thiers! Suppose I can't complain too much.. . Very exciting got biggest piece of metal work I been asked for so far! Mg bonnet was amazed when he lifted the bonnet as the car looked completely standard an normal in gunmetal grey so wouldn't have thought it was modded at all... Lifted the bonnet to the whole engine bay airbrushed in irnoman and hulk colours... It's the most painted engine bay I have ever seen ( an I seen a lot) anything metal is painted only the pipes and reservoirs were left alone!so I get the joy to paint the underneath of his bonnet to match with his hulk/irnoman theme- I'm soooooooo excited!

You're an hcoc plus member - I think you should assume you've paid your way to have an airbrushing thread tbh! :confusion-shrug:

I was just making sure you all had to put up with me for at least a year !! Lol.... To be honest I have had to set up simple websites and managed online activities to do with my business, so I can imagine how much effort it takes from all the admins to keep a site like this flowing so for me paying to be a plus member is no big deal...

awesome, looking forward to hearing from you sparks. :)
and i hope the move to wales goes well, it looks an amazing place to live - oh and drive around! :handgestures-thumbupleft:

forgot i had started this airbrushing thread many years ago! thanks for reviving it for me :handgestures-thumbupleft: :icon-lol:

this is the latest spoiler i have just painted for a little pug 106. tiny spoiler - but big theme. customer left the design to me saying it had to be tim burton split theme of her two favourite films and and also her dragon tattoo as well. :)

and lately i am also really enjoying painting these little pictures of old rusty classic cars too. :) might do a coupe picture if i have some spare time, though not in the rusty style. :icon-lol:

i'm currently in the process of looking for new unit to run my business from as i really need to expand. which is why i been quite quiet at the moment. I have a few cars lined up to paint once i find the unit and i'm currently in talks about doing a huge mural on the back of a big american truck too later on in the year. so unit hunting is keeping me busy at the moment but i still keep popping online to see what is going on, it is keeping me sane from all the viewing of unsuitable places :)
